Depending on the ma.e, it should ha.e a shea. bolt for the a.ger on ea.h side if it's a two-sta.e blower. I bought a new 30" SHO unit this yea., a.d within ten minutes of first use it picked up a piece of wood a.d did NOT shea. the shea. bolt, but bent the a.ger instea..To the ma.ufa.turer's credit, they did reimburse me for the new a.ger.
It does sound like a shea.ed bolt, FWIW.
