RE: How many of the blokes here cook meals as often / ) / as your partner?

I do most of the cooking, my wife is a good cook but she likes my cooking better, plus I get home earlier so unless I want to eat a 11pm I cook. Being a professional chef I really didn't enjoy cooking at home, no dishwashers or prep cooks, but I have learned to cook pot meals and roasts, dishes that will last a few days. When we were first together when I cooked for two that was it, 2 steaks, 2 orders mashed potatoes and 2 veg. She would get up for seconds and there wouldn't be any, just my training I guess. People think chefs like to cook at home but that's not always the case after 10hrs in the kitchen the last thing you want to do is come home and cook but I've gotten better at it and enjoy it more. I am on a bread baking kick now that it is cooler down here, I made Mediterranean olive bread yesterday and I have some sour dough starter on the back of my stove into it's second day. I will probably bake some pastry while I am on holiday break. My wife is pretty savvy, she can tell when I have rushed a dish and didn't put my heart into it, she keeps me on my toes.
