For a nest that large at least 2 or 3 helpers.
Each with 1 or 2 cans of wasp spray.
Each aiming at a specific target.
The bottom opening of course.
At the top and and where you see them trying to escape.
One, two, three everyone starts spraying, the nest that is.
Not each other.
Aim into the bottom hole as this will be their most used.
Just soak the nest with the spray.
I have done this a few times and nones been stung.
To much spray in and around the nest openings and a good soaking
disorinates them while killing them.
If you don't want to kill them and you can reach the nest with a
water hose. Water does a great job of destroying the nest while
leaving them alive.
The water doesn't seem to piss them off.
Apparently they think it's raining. So no reason to get pissed.
I used the water method a lot when I lived in Florida.
They would build nest under eaves and inside of hanging light fixtures. They would fly around non-aggressively until they realized their home is in ruin and fly away.
