The tv show came from the movie. Ricky was 8 David 11.

In real life he was the founder & conductor of the "Ozzie Nelson band" that are in the movie. During parts of the movie where Ozzie's Band was playing, there were some nice looking short skirts & great gams & Tap dancing/Boogie woogie to the music. OH!!!!
