It costs many billions of dollars to develop a drug. Most are developed in the USA or Britain. Huge dollars that need to be recovered and a profit made. Think about it> > > > > if drug companies could not make money on their inventions there would be no incentive to produce cures for diseases that devastate mankind. But..... go to socialist countries that only allow the cost of drug manufacture to be recovered and you would have nothing without the free economy that we enjoy. Once again the USA supplies the world with effective medicine but it's held against us because of the cost. We need worldwide freedom of economy on drugs instead of socialism, that would ultimately end in zero innovation and zero cures. The government ain't going to develop disease cures.
