It's very comfortable, as you said. I've done more than a few afternoon couch naps with it on my hip, in an inside the waistband holster, sleeping right on top of it, and never even noticed it. The princes and the pea be damned.
I couldn't begin to tell you how many thousands of rounds I've put through it, and never had a malfunction. I have to fake stovepipes or failure-to-feeds during drills, 'cause they just don't happen naturally for me. There I go, I've just jinxed myself.
Given that it was my first semi-auto pistol purchase, I'm grateful that I've never had any buyer's remorse. I've tried friend's Glocks, Sigs, etc. and really liked them, but the Shield just feels right for me.
