But yes, the idea of keeping the same controls on those puny toys as found on full size 1911's is ridiculous. The tiny one is hard to operate, especially for typical women's fingers.
In carry guns I much prefer the "pull the trigger-get the shot" model, as found in guns like Kahr PM9, for instance. Always ready, impossible to screw up. Basically, the same routing as with the revolvers.
