RE: A diet that allows sausage sandwiches ? ...

Diets are a temporary fix Dean, most wind up gaining the weight back in time. When I needed to loose weight, due to high blood pressure, the trick for me was the following:

First, use a smaller dinner plate, eat what you normally eat except a portion 1/3rd to 1/2 less, over time this will shrink your stomach. Eat as much fruit or vegetables as you want. For lunch, along with a sandwich, I have a small pickle, a half dozen baby carrots and a celery stalk or two. Unless it is fruits or vegetables, try not to snack between meals. Cut down a bit on fats & sugars and you are there. I lost 40 lbs. by changing my portion size mainly and not gained any weight back, 3 years now.
