Mrs PG and I visited Durango, CO to ride the D&SNGRR last week. We took the bus ride up to Siverton, CO and then rode the train back into town. Lots of spectacular scenery looking up and looking down. The Animas River was running near flood stage so there was an extra sound track to the ride. It's a three and a half hour ride at less than 15 mph, sometimes much less than that when crossing bridges. Traveling so slow gives you a different perspective.
