I'm not sure, but I don't think that unemployment is relevant if you quit your job. I thought it was for those who were laid off or downsized.
I never applied for it or got it even when I was downsized (once) and laid off ( twice ). I just got another job and moved on. It didn't seem worth the effort. When I was downsized I was told that I wasn't eligible due to my severance package I got (1 years pay).
The last time I was laid off,, the company I worked for closed the doors, and I just decided to retire. Forty five years in the rat race was enough for me.
