Nobody, but NOBODY is allowed to mess with big bidness in Texas. We got us an entire legislature and guberner to make sure the people always get the shaft from big bidness. Don't want fracking within your city limits? Too bad because we need every puff of natural gas regardless of the cost and WTF you think about should happen IN your town. Want zoning in your county to keep fertilizer plants being built next to schools and exploding? Well we can't have no stinking zoning, it interferes with that business's right to explode wherever the f' they want to explode. However, we do have home-rule ... as long as it doesn't interfere with the flow of money. Don't get me started, plz.
