I'm pretty sure that Dallas winters are too cold for citrus trees. We have relatives there and I know that you get snow sometimes and freezing temperatures. You could probably do it with a green house. We get an occasional freeze and snow once every few years. We can get by with covering the trees for a night or two.
No citrus tree gives fruit all summer. The fruit starts out pea size in spring and ripens in the fall over about a month.
