V8 drink

I used to drink two V8s daily thinking it was a healthy alternative to soft drinks. After about a month I started getting these very strange, 'dry' headaches with occasional light headedness. I couldn't figure out exactly why until one day I had my blood pressure checked. I don't remember the exact reading but lets just say it was through the roof! I then zeroed in on one of the cans later that day and read the nutritional values, and there it was, sodium content: 480mg per can! . Keep in mind an order of McDonalds fries 'only' has a measly 135mg of sodium! Or to look at it another way, two of those little 8 oz cans equal approximately 5 packs of salt!

Once I eliminated the V8s the headaches and high bp went away...YMMV
