and there was no negative intentions. My wife is a rad tech, and for years I heard her complain about wearing a lead apron all day. In intervention radiology they use low level radiation to look through the body to see where they are inserting or installing needles and devices. The doctor and tech wear lead to protect them. By year end some of them get close to max dosage and have to limit their hours. Also, some of the rooms in the clinic and hospital are shielded with lead to the point of keeping cell phones and iPads drained looking for a signal. It's just A FYI. Lead is available and used. Of course skin contact should be avoided.
