RE: high fructose corn syrup in too many of those bottled sauces

KC Masterpiece is overly sweet for my taste too. I find Maull's to be a much better balanced sauce if you must use a sauce. Maull's is (or at least was) a St. Louis regionally available sauce since 1921. I tend to hold with the view that if the meat is cooked properly, why do you need to hide it with sauce? I do admit to using a sauce from time to time on chicken, but never, never on pork or beef.
