at an excavation site. The kids came home with pockets full of old coins. The mom asked them where they got the coins, so they take her to the site and they dig into the night recovering a couple of thousand in silver and gold coins.
Next day they make a terrible mistake in trying to do what they believe is the right thing. They take the coins to their bank which totals up the face value deposits that amount in their account (about 2 grand) and keeps the coins worth way more than the face value. A $20 gold peice is not worth $20 today. They got screwed.
