Glad you are recovering! Some thoughts

Good that the swelling has gone down. I am happy you're on the mend!

I was in a serious accident 20 years ago. My left leg was broken in 5 places. Complications included a bone infection. It took me 4 years and a few surgeries to recover. Later, I had 3 separate episodes of DVT due to poor circulation from sitting too much.

Some suggestions:

Get a good doctor and a second opinion on the treatment, prevention of DVT reoccurrence, and medication .

I'm sure they've told you to keep your leg elevated whenever possible. It feels better too.

If you have DVT symptoms, you'll know it. Get to the ER immediately!

Forget most dietary remedies other than eating right. Take the daily aspirin.

Get fitted for a good compression stocking and wear it always except when sleeping - for the rest of your life if needed. I've never had any problems even sitting on a plane for 17 hours on overseas flights.

Sound like you're getting good exercise. Find a workout you like to do and do it with others.

What's possible? I'm on no medication. I'm in the best shape ever in the last 20 years and have lost over 20 pounds. I've bicycled many miles since my accident including 600 miles this month alone.

Please take care. I wish you a speedy and full recovery and the best of everything life has to offer (including new audio upgrades!).

It's hard, but you will get through this.
