The wife and I are planning a week's vacation in mid September. We would like to see Napa, beaches, San Fran and Yosemite. ideally we could stay in a central location and make day trips. Trying to avoid high overnight rates in the tourist areas. Something like an Embassy Suites would be great. I looked at a map and picked Stockton. She thinks that would definitely not be a good place to stay. Any advice would be appreciated.
