because of the full on speed. Close to 100 mph on luge, sleds, skis.
So I'd never heard of slopestyle, but now I've watched men and women on snowboards and women on skis and will watch men on skis. Fantastic. Bigger jumps than the halfpipe.
I like the short track speed skating. I can't figure out how these people avoid collisions. I'll watch any alpine skiing.
Hey I even watched a curling match yesterday. I don't quite get it and probably won't spend much more time on it, but respect to the throwers and sweepers who get these big rocks mostly where they want them.
Favorite moments for me: Sage winning snowboard slopestyle, not because he's American, but because he decided to throw in a big trick just before he went, spur of the moment, just to go for it. And women's slopestyle 3rd place was the first UK athlete to ever win an Olympic medal on snow- she was thrilled of course.
