Pot roast

Buy a quality roast.
Brown it or not.
Add;
Salt, pepper a teaspoon liquid smoke and Worcestershire sauce with one Guinness Extra Stout or skunk tasting dark beer (who drinks that stuff?) all into the slow cooker.
Potatoes, Carrots, Celery and Turnups as you like.
Load the roast and mix it up.
Overnight or at least eight hours set at low.
Add some crimini (spelling?) mushrooms a few hours before eating.
