I'm sure that most of us feel that, short of having kids, getting a college education is the best thing we did for ourselves.
I was reading yesterday that, even at this current economic point, the gulf in wages between those with college degrees and those without is significantly large. So, while many college graduates are currently underpaid, they are still more employable than those without.
My parents graduated college in the height of the depression which proceeded World War II. Still they managed to eventually earn a decent living and acquire the elements of the American dream. So will it be for your son as well. Like for my parents, it will just take a little more time.
