Here's a quote from the article where I got the information about the Henkel knives' production. I have the Henkels Professional S knives but was doing some research for friend who wanted something less expensive for their ranch house. He bought the ones made in Spain and has been very happy with them.
"The Henckels Professional S is one of their top-tier lines and is manufactured in Solingen, Germany where their core factories are located. Henckels also has factories in Spain and, as a newer development, in Japan as well."
