Trails are smooth. The GAP is fairly flat until it gets closer to the Continental Divide.

The Montour Trail is up and down. Twenty miles on the Montour is over 500 feet of elevation changes, the Great Allegheny Passage is more like 15.
But I might take 'er out on some of the local suburban streets, away from the main roads, and those are very hilly.
