"Air travel???"--are you serious, or just high?

F**k the airlines, and especially corporate or private jets. Same for cruise ships. Cargo we need--floating hotels/resorts and weekends in Vegas we don't--PAY-UP!

Again--narrow-minded views collide. Public transit has to be available/accessibly BEFORE you bankrupt people trying to drive to work/school. "Cart before the horse--penalties before the remedies". Just because you want a nicer place to ride your bikes--after you've driven your 16 year-old car to get it there? Now you sound like tinear. Here's a list of all the problems, no solutions, no participation--he just takes his Benz on cross-country driving tours--that helps, right?

I'm not pleading innocent, but I'm not advocating that EVERYONE pay more for EVERYTHING because of MY "indulgences", either. I've worked with the volunteers and families that can't afford the cost of everything/anything to go up by 20% (or even 5% or 10%).

If the "alternatives" already were in existence, people would use them. My BIL and his husband live in NYC--the only reason that they even own a vehicle is because of his (my BIL's) work and to get to their second home in up-State, NY. Otherwise, it's public transportation. Who really wants to drive in NYC?

From where I sit right now--nearest traffic-light about 4 miles away--nearest grocery store/WalMart, about 13 miles. What do you suggest? From my parents' place--even further.
