Inmate Central, where civil and family-friendly discourse about off-audio topics (other than religion and politics) is welcome.

Those things may be true, tweak, but. . .

. . . he was not convicted of those other things. And IMHO, you can't punish people for something they haven't been legally convicted of (or agreed to as part of a plea bargain). In addition, the note which read, "It's only a matter of time, justice is coming", is sufficiently vague that it's difficult to know what punishment (if any!) would even be appropriate.

The long and the short of the whole thing was that, despite a knowledge of what the size of the crowd was likely to be, the authorities (whoever they were) deployed a woefully inadequate number of police at the Capitol that day.* If the number of police had been adequate, the crowd members would have been arrested on the spot (depending on their infractions) - just like what happens with other demonstrations. This whole incident has turned out to be nothing more than an excuse to get another couple of billion to make our society into more of a police state.

*There may be many reasons for this, such as the bad "optics" of having a ton of police visible as part of the "peaceful transition of power" about which we like to lecture other countries when they don't measure up to our own "exceptional" values.
