Machine gun? You need some real special permts AND some BATF Horsepower to GET them before you can own such a firearm. I think owners are also Required to own a way to lock 'em up....
Semiauto is not a 'machinegun'.
If such a weapon has been used in a crime (almost any use is so by definition) you'd need more than a good attorney and a strict judge to walk.
