You are mistaken. The 2017 TCJA introduced a SALT limitation of $10k. Boy, did that really piss off the wealthy with huge real estate and state income taxes that were no longer deductible.

I find it absolutely hilarious that Schumer has insisted that it be reversed in the "social spending" package. He's got a SALT problem .
