But the mint has got to go. The only way to get rid of that stuff is to remove every single rhizome which is damned near impossible. If even one rhizome is left, the mint will come right back. You dig the area up, you have to throw the dirt away.
If it's any consolation, I'm going to plant pollinators there next spring. Bee balm.
