Containers are relatively cheap I guess. But you need to rent a crane to take delivery and position them. And they require metal working tools and skills. My big issue would be that thin steel walls offer no thermal insulation and minimal sound isolation, unless you clad them on the outside with sheathing, or line them on the inside with an interior wall, which kind of defeats the purpose.
