Corn gluten meal is a scam. It doesn't really work. Despite what is said about it, it is wholly ineffective.Used it faithfully every year for six years in a row and I cannot tell that it did one iota of weed prevention. And yes, I applied in the proper amounts and at the proper times.
No change in amount of dallisgrass, poa annua, spurge, henbit or any of the other common weeds in our yard.
I stopped using it last year, and can tell zero difference. Money saved on an ineffective talisman. Back to doing it the tried and true way - pulling and digging. I will NOT use chemical herbicides, and the only fertilizer we use is composted chicken shit.
