From what I've read, the World Economic Forum wants a world where nobody owns anything. We rent everything short term, from shoes and tires to TV sets, all controlled by the folks who own the software that makes them all work. VW's push for OTA subscriptions in order to use seat heaters for example.
But as far as the world being run by a self-selected corporate-civil bureaucracy, hell, that's the way things have been my whole life. I've never needed to stock up on food or toilet paper because of it.
And does anybody call them "TV sets" anymore besides us geezers?
