The pandemic ended when mask mandates were lifted and football season kicked off. At least in people's minds.
Gas prices are based on supply and demand, but you can screw with supply by halting drilling and thus slowing production. That goes for natural gas as well as gasoline.
Gas stations. Cars with ICE engines.
