As for your questions, the most obvious sign of RT's credibility is that they have stood up to the whole Russia-gate conspiracy theory, which was. . . uh . . "fostered". . . by (ooh! I can't say - but it's in the video!) and spread to high heaven for over four years by the New York Times and other imperialist corporatist media. Don't believe me? The Special Counsel (John Durham) is FINALLY getting around to charging and indicting the perps (the latest just on Friday):

And remember, he serves at the pleasure of Merrick Garland now, not Barr. It's pretty. . . uh. . . "rich". . . that Garland is permitting these indictments and arrests to proceed, isn't it? We're kind of at a low level now, but regardless of how far up the chain the arrests go, I'm sure that the originator of this conspiracy theory is going to be safe, no matter what! - maybe Garland will step in to protect her if it gets that far! LOL! ;-)
