...and that's what I don't get about the whole plant-based "faux meat" thing. First--it's not all that "healthy"--heavily processed and laden with additives and sodium--not any "better" than real meat.
So we till the fields (run the tractors), fertilize the soil and plant the crop (run the tractors again), treat the crops with pesticides and maybe do some irrigation to deplete the water-table (because we choose to farm the desert AND fill our hot-tubs/pools and take 3-4 showers a day). Then we "harvest" (run the tractors, yet again). Finally, we'll load everything up and transport it to a processing-plant to make it into something it's not.
Doesn't sound so "efficient" or "environmentally-friendly" when you look at it that way?
