And it's true about human nature. We want to fix global warming but not if it means any sacrifice on our parts, and not if it means any changes to the way things are now. Just substitute EVs for ICE vehicles, plant a garden in the backyard, add a few solar panels and that'll do it.
But it's not going to work that way. We need to re-order our lives. The automobile has to go, electric or otherwise. No more distance weddings, no Caribbean cruises, no more flying home for the holidays, no more global supply chain.
We have to contract. Thinks small, live small, consume far less than we do now.
And, friend, that isn't going to happen.
