Excuse me while I try to get back in my chair - I was laughing so hard that I'd fallen on the floor!
Just because I don't like the current group of idiots in charge doesn't mean I was a supporter of the previous group of idiots. And your attempt to imply this ("perhaps you approve of the former guy's. . . management") speaks rather poorly about your basic concepts of logic.
One thing you don't seem to understand is that Covid vaccinations are NOT the same as school vaccinations - much less like seat belt laws. For one thing, unlike those vaccinations, Covid vaccinations do NOT protect us from getting the Coronavirus disease. (Ask Jen Psaki about that - LOL!) Moreover, the effectiveness of the vaccines wanes after a few months - hence the need for what is likely to be endless boosters (all the better for Pfizer's bottom line!). But that's NOT what the "authorities" like Dr. Fauci were telling us last year - do you even remember? They were saying that, once we were vaccinated, we could go out and resume our normal lives, throw away our masks, etc. Didn't work out that way, did it? And yet, that was what "the science" was telling us at that time.
And I'd guess that most people who saw the clip would find that your CDC spokeswoman gave a rather poor account of herself and her organization, with all her bobbing and weaving in an attempt to avoid answering the senator's questions.
BTW, congratulations for subjecting yourself to the (Dr.) Rand Paul / Dr. Fauci exchange. But if all you picked up from seeing that is that Rand Paul is a "partisan fool", well. . . I guess that's what you say when you can't answer his statements. And your special pleading about the "assholiness" of his questions once again reveals that you can't answer his actual points, such as Fauci's newspeak maneuvers to redefine what "gain of function" means, now that he's been caught doing an end run around Obama's policy by getting "gain of function research" government funding (which Obama had prohibited) via a third party. You can't provide a counterpoint to Paul's question because there IS no denial possible. Better to try to change the subject and comment on Paul's "assholiness". Oh well - we have to do whatever it takes to support "team science"! ;-)
And now, as a special treat for you, I present you with babe RT reporter Gayane Chichakyan from a few years ago eliciting some of Jen Psaki's patented slime ball answers, which she'd already perfected even at that time. But, alas, she still couldn't (and still can't) hide her "discomfort smiles". (You remember, back in the days when RT reporters weren't barred from these kinds of press briefings - LOL!) ;-)

And you encourage me to "get well"? Oh! The irony! ;-)
