Non-unionized workers had great envy or animosity toward unionized workers

During the last great inflation of the 1970s. Unionized workers got COLAs which is one kind of wage-push inflation. Non-unionized workers got shafted. I would even say there was great hatred toward unionized workers because they had COLAs.
