You're a big facts and stats guy. Look at the link. I've never seen anything from you indicating you see anything whatsoever wrong with the wealth inequality in the U.S. displayed in the link. You've ridiculed every proposal to do something about it while never offering any solutions of your own beyond saying people should invest in index funds/401k's, as if the tens of millions of scuffling Americans who don't even have $500 in the bank can spare money to invest.The market will tank? Park money in bank accounts and cd's? Ya pay tax on the interest earned whether ya take it outta the bank or not. Park money in stocks? No tax until ya sell it. Where will super-rich people park their money to avoid paying tax on unrealized gain? Where can they make the kind of money they make in the market when interest rates are chickenshit and likely to stay that way for years even assuming the fed slowly raises rates?
Should we just throw up our hands and say there is absolutely nothing we can do about a very small group of people owning/controlling the overwhelming majority of our country's wealth IN PERPETUITY? That seems to be your view.
