But I've been to a chemical plant just outside of Walnut Creek, CA--that produces thousands of gallons of an organophosphate pesticide (a tablespoon is enough to kill you, me and our neighbors), and walked away after a 4.8 while I was there--the plant manager showed me the "suspension", and assured me "this baby can take at least a 7.2". Comforting, eh?
