of course it doesn't befit a public figure to speak ill of the dead, and that goes double for military commanders.

I do think "war Criminal " erroneous and simply bombastic. But history can't ignore his influence on swaying public opinion in support of a war for continued control of cheap oil, and the beginnings of America's tragic misadventure in the Mid East.

A lot of blood and treasure was wasted to support higher profits for an already profitable industry, not to mention giving credibility to societies that love dictatorial monarchies. I can only imagine what that money might have done if spent at home.

When I was over there negotiations were underway to avoid a sentence of fifty lashes to an English woman who served alcohol at a party in the workers compound, which would kill a woman of her age, without question.
Someone fell off a second story balcony, which attracted attention to a normally ignored event.
