RE: Keep on shopping where you wish

"stories from his 34 years with Walmart."

Let's review: "The locals are wage slaves with minimal if any benefits".

So, your BIL worked there for 34 years as a wage slave. Have I got that right? Did he ever try to escape?

I used to shop at the local Albertson's. (They also own the Tom Thumb and Randall's store names.) I'd buy four boxes of Rice Chex when they were "on sale", thinking that I was getting a good deal versus the local Kroger. The store manager and I got to know each other on a casual basis. He'd give me a deal on a 12 pack of half-pint canning jars, and I'd give him free homemade salsa. Win-win. Then, he moved away. One day, I happened to stop at the area Walmart, much to my dismay which was ingrained by "social media". Ha! I discovered that Walmart's everyday prices were lower than Albertson's "sale" prices. That was several years ago. And you know what? They still are. For the past several years, I've done my grocery shopping largely at Walmart. And you know what else? Many of the employees have been there for that entire time. Doesn't look like "wage slaves" to me.

Your arguments simply don't hold water. Consider the possibility that you have a bias against the company for whatever reason.
