King's political influence was causing fear with those in political power.
The idea of a Communist influenced race crusader transforming America was not something people were ready for in the 60's.
It took decades of psychological conditioning via mass media and education system to make the idea of racial integration more palatable to a fearful white American majority.
But this change to an "integrated society" has many problems that should not be ignored or mindless accepted by everyone.
Trust your eyes, not just propaganda from either side of an argument.
