RFE/RL still does radio broadcasting.

Links to their broadcasting in the link. Mostly to former Soviet republics & satellites of the former Soviet Union. Also a few services to the Middle East and South Asia.

All the old broadcast tapes from decades past still exist. The Hoover Institution acquired them just over a decade ago. Here's a descriptive link for Hoover's RFE/RL collections:

Hoover's main project is digitizing all those old reel to reel tape broadcasts (wish them luck with that...). You can listen to some of this material online (but the web pages are slow). There are also a lot of paper records too, and I did some work with those. I've got photos of the original RFE/RL facilities, the broadcast tower, the electronic gear, and the people.

Was wonderful work digging through old historical documents when I worked at the Hoover Archives. Now I live in Oregon and no longer do this work.
