Pros:
* Fewer accidents and injuries in pools compared to treadmills.
* Similar in cardiovascular benefits when compared to treadmill exercise.
* Has less impact on joints, muscles, & bones.
* Resistance of water is excellent for muscle strength and endurance.
Cons:
* Can't duplicate weight-bearing exercise, which can be important for bone density.
* No electronic screen readouts in water, such as distance or calories burned.
* Installing a pool is way more expensive than installing a treadmill.
