It's one thing to get a good shot and quite different to set up for 3 more shots. Folks was saying that the shooter used an AR style rifle. The most common round would be the .223. If he had a scope, it's not a difficult shot. At 130 yards, the trajectory would be fairly flat. At 150 yards, a .223 would drop -0.8818 inches. That the shooter tagged Trump on his ear indicates that he was a decent shot. Wind drift may have been the only issue that saved Trump, that or Trump moved his head.

After the first shot, it would be much harder to hit a moving target.
