The founding fathers were all in favor of vote suppression. They didn't want what Jefferson called "urban workers" to have any say at all in the direction of the country. The founders were rich guys who didn't want to be taxed in order to provide services for everybody else.
You and I wouldn't have had the right to vote under the US Constitution per original intent.
