Earlier in our history, jazz was an elevated art form that commanded respect for its creators. Also, blues and Motown interested me. But rap diminishes my regard for black 'artists so-called' -- not just black, as there are morons of every ethnicity doing this crap. I wonder how posterity will look at the phenomena of gangsta' music?
