Soap opera effect on movies bothers me, but interpolation can be a benefit with sports and other live broadcasts as long as it's not too aggressive. Sony's is the least aggressive out of the box. LG and Samsung are overly aggressive by default, so you need to either experiment with settings to tone it down or turn it off.
