It was less about the color temperature and other simple adjustments it was the damn digital enhancement mode which even turned off still affected the picture in that soap opera screen fashion which I simply cannot digest. LG in my experience is the worst offender in this regard. The fact that most/all people I know are using default store sales mode is
hilarious considering how proud they are having bought those sets. Morons watching sports all day certainly deserve that. Samsung's picture quality was passable after all the enhancements were off and colors toned down, Sony wasn't that bad either but LG? Forget about it. They just push it down your throat to make you happy, like it or not. There is never too much of a good thing. Well, will see what's there and if she likes LG OLED and I have a hunch she might since she is a silly La'merican girl after all we get OLED for her and order three rounds of burgers and beer to celebrate and we will live high resolution life happily ever after. :)
No disrespect meant Pictureguy. I'm sure you have a good quality set and picture is right. My dealer had a nice plasma properly calibrated with great picture quality. He spent like $15k on that thing some decades ago. It was the best screen I've seen in any place by far. We watched weather channel, and it was a pleasure. But He was selling Quad speakers and Magnepans and didn't mix with the rabble.
