There's a website that gives recommended mounting height vs screen size vs viewing distance. I was going to follow those guidelines but mounted the TV somewhat higher. I'm glad I did for a couple reasons:#1) I don't sit up straight with perfect posture while watching TV. I'm usually slouched back slightly so with the TV mounted a little higher than so-called "ideal", I'm not looking up or down at the screen. My sight line is about perfect for my "comfy" posture.
#2) My wife has her comfy chair to the left so she's not right in front of the TV. If the TV were mounted lower on the wall her view would be partially blocked by the left tower speaker.
In any case, we're both glad we went with the larger 75" when I originally thought 65" would have been fine. It cost more but considering how long we keep our TV's around it was well worth it. And I never ask the question: Hmm, should I have bought the next size up ?
